Pilichowski was taught to draw by his relation Samuel Hirszenberg and also lived for a time in Paris, studying with Benjamin Constant. He exhibited widely including in Paris, London, New York and Warsaw. He immigrated to London in 1914 and was President of the Ben Uri Art Society from 1926-32.
